Where soft washing is the right call
That black and green streaking down render and pebbledash is algae, and the green on north-facing roofs is moss. Blast either with a pressure washer and you risk cracking render, forcing water behind it, or dislodging roof tiles.
Soft washing treats the surface chemically at low pressure, so the growth is killed and rinsed rather than hammered off. The result keeps coming cleaner for weeks after we leave as the treatment finishes working.
